Modern art in New York City: Moma (To Do) and Guggenheim

I'm not a lover of modern art and I kept the visit to Moma last and least. What I can say is that fortunatelly I was in time to visit it! It deservs a visit, no doubts! I discovered there on thursady it was for free. A little bit crowded but free. The free antrance day changes during year and you can find details in the official website. Remember to visit also the offers page where you can find interesting opportunities such as a cumulative tickets for the Moma and the Rock (Rockefeller Observation Deck).

Among the others Moma presents:

  • Henri Rousseau
  • Vincent van Gogh
  • Pablo Picasso
  • Salvador Dalí
  • Andy Warhol
  • Andrew Wyeth
  • Frida Kahlo
  • Paul Gauguin
  • Claude Monet
  • Henri Matisse
  • Paul Cézanne
  • Giorgio De Chirico
  • Jackson Pollock
  • Barnett Newman
  • Francis Bacon
  • Max Ernst

Maybe some expert could kill me for what I'm going to write but Moma deserves much more than Guggenheim if, like in my case, one of the two collections Thannhauser Collection and Kandinsky and Expressionist Painting before World War I is not accessible in fact they present respectivelly:

  • Paul Cézanne, Paul Gauguin, Edouard Manet, Claude Monet, Pablo Picasso, Camille Pissarro, Pierre Auguste Renoir, and Vincent van Gogh;
  • Paul Gauguin and Vincent van Gogh, Henri Matisse and the Fauves, the Cubists in Paris, as well as masterworks by Kandinsky.
