Sydney: from and to the airport

Finally Sydney! It is what I thought after 27 hours of travel.

The custom is not a formality at all. There is the passport control but but above all the luggage control: there are severe controls to preserve the unique naure of Australia. That's the reason why there are wide limitations regarding food and biological material. e.g. ground under the shoes. The airport is perfecly organised: tourist information points, mobile operators and, obviously, more than one way to go to downtown: busses and metro.

If you think to stay in Sydney between 3 and 7 days you can buy a two ways ticket. The metro service is called AIRPORT LINK and its 7DAY PASS is available at 16 AUD (Airport Link).

At the airport you can also buy the TRAVEL PASS to use busses, metro and ferries. The price depends on the area: the red one is more than enough to go from the Central Station to the Opera House and to Bondi Beach at a price of 35 AUD for 7 days. Details are available at City Rail website.
