Eat and Drink

Barcelona: Tapa Tapa

Tapa Tapa is the classic restaurant for tourists. Do not misunderstand, the food is good but in someway not very typical of Catalunya.

It is good if you are in the area of Casa Battlò for lunch time or evening and you need a rest.

Padova: Pizzeria da Ennio

"Da Ennio" is a very good pizzeria in Padua. The pizza is neither Napolitan style nor American style since it is thin. There is a huge list of pizzas but only in Italian. Despite this, no doubts that, it deserves a visit!

V. Fabiano e Sebastiano, 51 - Padova - Tel. 049 623734

Chicago: Miller's Pub

A nice place where to have a great hamburger just in the centre of Chicago downtown. To try!

134 South Wabash, Chicago - tel. 312 263 4988

Miller's pub - Interior

Chicago: Andy's Jazz Club

Do you want some good Jazz with good food, drinks and nice atmosphere in Chicago? If yes, you can not miss Andy's Jazz Club. It deserves absolutelly one night in Chicago and even more of you love jazz.

You can find detailed performers' list, address and telephone number at his webpage.

Padua: Eat and Drink like a Paduan does!

You have to know that one of the most popular square where the inhabitants of Padua have their aperitif is Piazza dei Signori. The most popular drink is the "Spritz".

The map below shows where you can take a drink or eat a pizza sit outside in summer time and standing up, still outside, in winter time, as the people of Padua use to do:

Boston: No Name Restaurant

You have absolutelly to go there! It is a fish restaurant placed in a pier of Boston adviced by Bostonians.

Belive me when I write you can find very good scalops, mussels, lobsters and much more at price more than reasonable!

Siena: Papei (To Do)

A restaurant you must try! Adviced by "Gambero Rosso Low Cost" guide. Right in the centre of downtown serving delicious typical food at a very honest price!

I advice:

Budapest: Ruszwurm patisserie (to do)

A patisserie founded in 1825, the Ruszwurm.

It is placed in Buda just close the to the Fisherman's Bastion it is the proper place where to take a rest after the walking morning. The cakes, the coffees and the Austro-Hungarian environment deserve to be tasted in relax.

The Meat Packing District

The Meat Packing District has quite a few bars and is a bit of a young crowd making the scene and I found it a bit for the younger travellers, but the Spice Market also has a bar so check it out. Pastis is worth checking out if for the crowd alone.

The Shake Shack

The best burger in NYC, the line up wait is a pain but it’s worth it. Outside dining only so it may be too cold if travelling in Winter, so get it take away.
